Here’s what happens, the magician has a shuffled well mixed regular deck of cards and has a spectator freely select any card they like.  The magician then loses the selected card in the deck of cards and then grabs a regular rubber band and wraps the rubber band around the deck of cards twice. The magician then places his hand in between the rubber band and the deck of cards and then tosses the deck and while doing this, one card jumps out of the deck and ends up on the back of the magicians hand face up and is the spectators chosen card. All that is needed to perform this trick is a regular deck of cards and a rubber band as well as a few sleight of hand moves that are taught on the tutorial video.
